We met 17 years ago, it was
afternoon of May 3, 1993, Juriz and I attended a summer catechism. He got my attention right away because he was
funny at maingay among the rest of the boys, not my type hahaha! At that time I
guess my kind of guy should look someone with nice long bangs just like Devon
Sawa and Patrick Garcia (old school! Pero sila naman ang crush ng bayan noon diba),
I was looking for someone tall and mestizo, definitely not Juriz hahaha! But
something happened because he captured
my heart right away and after that summer he became my secret crush!

His side of story
Late afternoon of May 3, 1993...as far as I could remember, I
was very excited preparing for the catechism school because I know that the
girl who was responsible for giving me some "slow-mo
with background music moment wishing na mahulog sana ung hostia para masalo ko
at magkakatinginan kmi at ngingiti" during mass communion was gonna be
there also (for the record, I used to be an altar boy - please keep ur comments
to your pocket) so I wore my favorite and ever famous MAUI shirt (sure hit in
the 90's) to be at my best. Then I went there with my brothers and friends, and
there she was with her girlfriends and the feeling was still the same. Then I
told myself, I gotta be cool. And so I did, acted cool, friendly and funny.
Voila! Got her attention only discovering that iba pala ang type nya…
