When Love Begins…
Juriz and I shared a more than a
decade love story. We went to the same highschool, lived in the same village,
joined the youth ministry of the church, we basically grew up with each other’s
presence. Then it started night of January 4, 1999, Juriz visited me at our
house after I spent 2 weeks in our province to celebrate Christmas and New Year. We were talking in our garage when suddenly we ran out of words to say and then we
felt a strange feeling we have never felt before… then he started asking me if
I feel something… (sounds weird but true) and I said, yes its like we have felt what others say,
“MAGIC”.
He went home after that and we talked on the phone all night , then he
said that maybe what we have felt was a go signal that we can move to the next
level of our friendship… he said after being friends for a very long time he
wanted to pursue me. I wasn’t able to sleep that night because I knew right
then what we felt was love and I was ready, so Juriz came back the following
night in our house, January 5, I said “I don’t want you to pursue me anymore
because I am ready right now and my answer is YES!”
And so the rest was history…

Juriz and I have been through a
lot of trials. We have witnessed each others best and worst days, we were there
for each other when we lost loved ones along the way and gave each others
support in times of great pain. There were times in our relationship when
we almost gave up but then through God’s
loving guidance and prayers of our families and friends we made it.
And as we move forward to the
next chapter of our love story we pray that our marriage gets better as days go
by and our love keeps burning for the rest of our lives.
